Think Inside the Box
“The ordinary think inside of the box, the extraordinary think outside of the box, but genius thinks inside, outside, below and above the box.” [Matshona Dhliwayo author CEO of Health Magazine and The African Union]
Slogans from the 1970s regarding business organization have inspired people to think “outside the box,” beyond the boundaries of the mind, and free creativity to reach their goals. An attitude necessary for exploring solutions outside the box in all directions except those metaphorically close to the perimeter of the “box.”
The box is in fact the point where the extraordinary outer creative power is realized, giving life to the contents within. The box is not a prison for ideas, but an envelope from which the unexpected emerges.
BOXI is a storage tower designed outside the classic box offering the comfort of a safe place to set up to your liking based on the individual organizational needs of your workday.
The Box in the Box
“When you’re a carpenter making a beautiful chest of drawers, you’re not going to use a piece of plywood on the back, even though it faces the wall, and nobody will ever see it. You’ll know it’s there, so you’re going to use a beautiful piece of wood on the back.” [Steve Jobs]
A storage tower can be considered an ordinary piece of furniture in an office where more complex, technologically advanced, and distinctive furnishings stand out.
But BOXI is not at all commonplace: instead it has the extraordinary strength of complementing, from both formal and functional points of view, other furnishing elements of different heights and dimensions, distinguishing the work environment while rendering it a more pleasant and enjoyable space. A precious “box” that enhances another “box.”
